Full Bio

Emily Bullock, MAT

Emily Bullock was born and raised outside of Cincinnati, Ohio. Dancing was one of Emily’s main passions growing up which led her to attend Ohio University’s School of Dance program. Alongside, she earned a degree in Communication Studies.

After graduation, with a desire to community serve, she joined AmeriCorps CalSERVES in Santa Rosa, California, where she worked as a team lead for literacy and after school programs. This experience solidified her desire to work in education and help children develop their full potential.

Emily went on to earn a Master's Degree in Teaching from the University of Portland, and for the next 10 years, she taught 3rd and 4th grade students throughout Oregon and Washington, including Lake Oswego SD and Mercer Island SD. She was known for her innovative teaching methods that focused on life skills and building the strengths of her students. Emily’s intuitive and compassionate approach enabled her to consistently see the positive in her students, understanding their individual needs and abilities to learn in different ways. Her strong rapport and connection with her students contributed greatly to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.

As a lifelong learner and reflective practitioner, Emily continued to hone her skills by working completing Graduate Certificate in Psychology from Harvard (expected January 2024) and training in Motivational Interviewing and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Through her education career she discovered how greatly intrigued she is with behavior and neurodiversity. She has particular interest in psychopathology, child development, and the social, emotional, and environmental roles that play out in the needs of her students.

Emily joined Scott in late 2022 and has been mentoring and coaching students online and in person. She works with students in high school and college, utilizing her training to help them move forward and achieve their goals.

Outside of the clinic, Emily is a wife, mother (to her daughter and many indoor plants), an avid yogi and Pilates enthusiast.
